Changing times and a look ahead

There has been a few changes in The Daily Journal’s Outdoors coverage since the last time I posted to this blog.

Our Outdoors section now appears on Mondays in our print edition. Everything that readers enjoyed on Fridays can be found on the front of our B2 section.
The change came during a week when I was on vacation in Minnesota and Wisconsin which accounts for the gaps in the Outdoors Journal blog.
To help fill any sense of loss, I will be posting entries more often on this blog and encourage readers to post or e-mail comments or suggestions. My e-mail address is: bbyrns@daily-journal.com.

The new publication schedule gives us a chance to provide readers with a look at what’s ahead for the coming week as well as for more distant events. Our Outdoors Briefs column will reflect that by emphasizing coming events.
Our main stories will continue to be geared to the seasons. Below is just a sample of what will be part of our Monday cover story about pheasant, upland game and deer seasons across The Daily Journal region.

And while November is a prime time for hunters, our Outdoors coverage will continue to reflect interest in the full spectrum of Outdoors recreation and the environment.
