CHICAGO (AP) — A light snowfall across the Chicago area and a massive East Coast winter storm are creating some problems for travelers, including U.S. Sen. Roland Burris.Chicago Department of Aviation spokesman Gregg Cunningham says more than 75 flights are canceled at O’Hare International Airport. Flights to and from the East Coast are delayed about 20 minutes.
Midway Airport reports about 10 cancellations.
Burris spokesman Jim O’Connor says the senator has been trying to get a flight from Chicago to D.C. on Monday, but the weather there is making it difficult.
National Weather Service meteorologist Andrew Krein (KRINE) says some parts of Chicago received more than 2 inches of snow by Monday morning. He says some flurries could continue into the afternoon.
