A Kankakee woman died Friday morning after her car struck a semi on Illinois Route 50 in Manteno.

Manteno Police Lt. Joel Whalen said police were called at 10:33 a.m. today to a crash on Route 50 between a car and a semi. Both vehicles were southbound on Route 50. Whalen said that witnesses said the women suddenly turned in front of the semi.
