Mary Johnson, 96, of Peotone, passed away peacefully on Thursday (March 11, 2010) at the Beecher Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, Peotone. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Peotone, where she was a member. Father Dan Hoehn will officiate.
Dolores Stinebring — Gilman
Dolores Ann “Dee” Stinebring, 76, of Gilman, died at 6:38 p.m. Monday (March 8, 2010) at the Piper City Rehab & Living Center in Piper City, following a three month illness. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at the United Methodist Church in Gilman. The Rev. Steven Hartman will officiate.
Jeremiah Emling — Kankakee
Jeremiah Emling, 36, of Kankakee, died Friday (March 12, 2010) at his home. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Margaret “Peg” D. Gooding, 84, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Kankakee, passed away March 6, 2010 at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation for Girard J. “Jerry” McSwain, 80, of Manteno, formerly of Matteson, will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hirsch Funeral Home, 3501 W. Lincoln Highway (U.S. Route 30), Matteson. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the chapel to St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church, 4101 St. Lawrence Ave., Matteson, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
Madeline King — Lake Village, Ind.
Madeline Cora Madison King of Lake Village, Ind., passed away Tuesday (March 9, 2010) at the Jasper County Hospital, following a brief illnes. Madeline was a lifelong resident of Lake Village and had recently resided at the George Ade Memorial Health Care facility.
