Brett Favre’s sister arrested in Miss. meth bust

National park rangers rescue backcountry skier

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) - Rangers in Rocky Mountain National Park have reached a 55-year-old Chicago man who tumbled about 900 feet down a mountain while backcountry skiing.

Park officials say the man, who was with two other skiers, has several injuries from the accident Wednesday. The man’s name hasn’t been released and the extent of his injuries isn’t known.

Rangers got word of the accident by cell phone and reached the man around 3 p.m.

The man was at 10,600 feet elevation.

Nine members of the Larimer County Search and Rescue were expected to meet the park employees on the mountainside to help with the rescue.

The park is about 70 miles northwest of Denver.

Police: 2 dead, 4 hurt in Baltimore club shooting
