• Arraignments are scheduled for next week for two Kankakee men after they were accused of operating an illegal gambling operation that federal prosecutors said raked in almost $6.4 million.

• In Life: Something is always simmering in the pot or baking in the oven in Vanessa Mora’s kitchen. Whether it’s experimenting with new recipes, making traditional favorites or teaching her daughter’s friends how to bake cookies, time spent in the kitchen is not a chore for this Manteno resident.

• In Sports: Last year, the Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School wrestling team repeated as All-City champion because, well, the title has to go to someone. On Tuesday, the Boilermakers emphatically ruled the city.
