Clifford Hooton, 75, of Momence, passed away July 30, 2009. Services and interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery have been held. Cremation Society of Illinois, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
Bernice Marie Yando, 86, of Monee, died Thursday (Aug. 27, 2009) at Vitas Hospice at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the 11 a.m. funeral service at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone.

Luther C. Peterson Sr., 80, of Channahon, died Thursday (Aug. 27, 2009) at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Visitation will be from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Sunday at the Reeves Funeral Home, 219 N. Joliet St., Wilmington. Pastor Ron Taylor will officiate.

Visitation for Jeffrey D. Howell, 52, of Kankakee, will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Andy Anthony will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Township. Memorials may be made to the family wishes. He died Thursday (Aug. 27, 2009) at Provena St. Mary’s Hospital.
