Joy E. Bilyard, 84, of Bourbonnais, passed away on Friday (Nov. 20, 2009) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until the 1 p.m. funeral service at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Township.
Eleanor M. Handley, 95, of Kankakee, died Thursday (Nov. 19, 2009) at ManorCare Health Services. Visitation will be from noon Monday until the 1 p.m. services at the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, west Kankakee. The Rev. H. Christopher Sheets will officiate.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Campus.
Helen E. Cioni, 87, of Manteno, formerly of Aroma Park, died Thursday (Nov. 19, 2009) at Miller Center in Kankakee. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Alice F. Minor, 61, of Bourbonnais, died Monday (Nov. 16, 2009) at ManorCare Health Services, Kankakee. There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel
Timothy F. Lucia, 68, of Manteno, died Thursday (Nov. 19, 2009) at Riverside Medical Center. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno. Following the visitation, cremation rites will be accorded.
A. Emogene “Jean” Bade Tucker, 81, of Victorville, Calif., and a former Kankakee resident, died Nov. 3, 2009 in Victorville. Services were held Nov. 9 at the Midlawn Funeral Home, Union, Mo. Pastor Phil Turner officiated. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union.
Edward J. Zunke, 60, of San Jacinto, Calif., former longtime resident of Kankakee, died Monday (Nov. 16, 2009) at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Kankakee.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate ethics committee on Friday admonished Sen. Roland Burris, D-Ill., for making “inconsistent, misleading or incomplete” statements about the circumstances surrounding his appointment to the seat once held by Barack Obama. The committee recommended no action beyond the letter.
Burris was appointed by disgraced former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was impeached and driven from office after he was accused of trying to sell the Senate seat.
Dorothy Darche, 90, of St. Anne, died Wednesday (Nov. 18, 2009) at Provena Our Lady of Victory, Bourbonnais.
